8 Of My Favorite Things This Winter

I can't believe March is already here, but it also means the worst of winter is potentially over and the countdown to Spring begins. I've rounded up 8 of my favorite things this past winter, which includes clean beauty discoveries, wellness treats and something I haven't been able to take off since it arrived in my mailbox! #sorrynotsorry

The GLOW Inner Beauty Powder is a tonic filled with 24 organic, bio-fermented skin-loving ingredients that supports efficient digestion and a healthy gut to give your skin radiance from within. The ingredient list reads more like a healthy salad than your traditional supplement- Macqui berry, chickpeas, lentils, mung beans, alfafa seeds and the like, but the natural wild berry flavor makes it perfectly palatable. I like to mix a teaspoon with water for a delicious drink, but you can add it on your breakfast yoghurt or smoothie as well.
I may have told Andrew not to buy me any chocolates this Valentine's so that I could order Element Truffles for myself instead. Raw, organic, free from dairy, preservatives, emulsifiers or refined sugar, sweetened with locally sourced honey and infused with Ayurvedic superfoods, they tick all the right boxes for me for guilt-free snacking. Oh, and 25% of their profits go to supporting education for underprivileged children in rural parts of India.
There are body oils, and then there is Max and Me, which will elevate your self-care routine into a spiritual experience. Flight To The Sun sits on a base of argan, marula and rosehip oils and contains a mix of rare, pampering essential oils like white fir, blue spruce, neroli and ylang ylang. I slather it all over my hands and legs after I come out of the bath and let it embrace me in a warm, nourishing light while leaving my skin soft and dewy. Feels like heaven!
This Earthwise Beauty liquid sunshine in a bottle serves as both a brightening moisturizer and a hydrating toner, and the good news is that you can use as much as your skin can drink up (which is plenty during the dreary winter months!). It features exotic oils like the vitamin-rich pequi fruit oil, anti-aging buriti oil and emollient moringa oil, and while there is no added fragrance it carries an uplifting citrus scent. Use code NIHAONEWYORK for 15% off your order.
If you've been coveting bold, confident brows à la Amal Clooney, you'll definitely want the Full Brow Serum in your beauty arsenal. A potent formula with active plant botanicals that strengthens and thickens hair from root to tip, all you need to do is massage a single drop into your brows for 10 seconds day and night and watch your brow hairs magically grow into their full shape. I'm also pretty sure this 1 oz bottle will last you forever.
I've been making an effort to carve out a little me-time at the end of each day, and I absolutely love this Antioxidant Mask that requires less than 10 minutes. It combines Kahina's signature argan oil with silica-rich rhassoul clay and extracts of pomegranate and açai to draw out impurities, stimulate collagen product and perform gentle exfoliation to leave your skin more supple and smooth. Unlike many other clay masks, this will not dry out your skin if you leave it on for a little longer, which is big bonus for when you're multi-tasking.
Turmeric milk, also known as golden milk, has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and cancer-fighting properties and aids with digestion and sleep. A wholesome blend of turmeric with traditional Ayurvedic herbs like black pepper, cardamom and Ashwagandha, all you need to do is add a teaspoon of this Gaia concoction to your own warmed milk of choice (I like using oat or hemp milk) and you have yourself a delicious evening treat. P/S: Add some fresh grated ginger for an extra zing!
My mother-in-law gifted me this pair of Sudara Punjammies for Christmas which is ethically made by women who escaped sex slavery in India. It literally is the softest and most comfortable item of clothing in my wardrobe, and I ordered myself another pair since I live in my pajamas these days. Psst... They're running a sale right now, so make sure you check it out!
