Boxwalla Beauty: Step Into The Secret Garden

A light exists in spring
Not present on the year
At any other period
When March is scarcely here
- Emily Dickinson
I have to remind myself that winter in New York doesn't end till the third week of March and stay hopeful by holding out for the arrival of sweet, sweet spring. Thankfully, I have Boxwalla to help me make it through the last leg of the coldest season with their February beauty box themed "Secret Garden", featuring selections from green beauty pioneer One Love Organics and up-and-comer H is for love

One Love Organics holds the distinction of being the first blog review I wrote, and oftentimes when I have friends ask me for green beauty recommendations I direct them to the brand since I have tried a wide variety of products and it honestly seems like they can do no wrong. An award-winning skincare line started in 2010 by Suzanne Le Roux, their products are produced in micro-batches at their ECOCERT® licensed manufacturing facility in  St. Simons Island, GA.
Love Springs Eternal is Suzanne's favorite serum and part of her nightly beauty ritual, with a blend of luxuriously light plant oils like green tea and watermelon that moisturize and nourish the skin while concentrated actives like blue seakale, date seed and barbara fig plant stem cells reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
I start with a thin layer of Marie Veronique's Barrier Restore Serum because of the winter dryness and follow up with a single pump of Love Springs Eternal for my entire face, and it is so quickly absorbed into my skin that it doesn't feel like I have anything on, and I have been waking up with the most amazing plump and radiant glow on my face!
Ingredients: Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Seed Oil*, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Citrullus Vulgaris (Watermelon) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (and) Phoenix Dactylifera (Date) Seed Extract, Alaria (Algae) Esculenta Extract, Crambe Maritima (Blue Seakale) Leaf Extract, Opuntia Ficus Indica (Barbary Fig) Cell Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Extract and Tocopherol

H Is For Love Bara Balm ($70.00 for 1 oz)
I have been seeing H is for love all over my Instagram feed, so I was really pleased to find not one, but two full-sized products in the box. A luxury skincare line created by Bee Ham using unrefined, organic and natural ingredients, every product is designed with purpose and care and made by hand in Spokane, WA.
The Bara Balm contains a rich medley of nourishing oils like jojoba, apricot, pomegranate, tamanu and sea buckthorn, infused for weeks with healing herbs like marshmellow root, calendula, chamomile, and lemon balm. With a gorgeous golden yellow hue and a calming, aromatic bouquet of rose, vanilla, frankincense and lavender, it has a smooth balm-to-oil consistency that spreads with ease over the face. A very little goes a long way, and I imagine this jar will last me a while!
You can apply this over Love Springs Eternal, but I prefer to to layer this on areas that need more attention like under my eyes and around my nose or alternate it with my serum.
Ingredients: Jojoba Oil*, Macadamia Nut Oil*, Apricot Kernel Oil*, Pomegranate Seed Oil*, Shea Butter*, Tamanu Oil*, Beeswax, Sea Buckthorn Oil*, Mixed Tocopherols (Non-GMO Vitamin E), Marshmallow Root*, Calendula*, Chamomile*, Lemon Balm* and Essential Oils of: Chinese Rose, Vanilla ‘Total’ CO2, Frankincense, Lavender*
* Organic

The Lip Glace really impressed me, with its rose tint derived naturally from roots, berries, and flowers, completely void of mica, iron oxides or mineral pigments. The product looks matte in the pot, but becomes glossy upon application. Boxwalla describes its texture and performance best- richly moisturizing like a balm, fun and sassy like gloss, elegant like lipstick
On days I am out running errands and am wearing little or no makeup, Glace is an effortless way to enhance the natural colors of my lips, but if I am more made up it can easily be layered for a deeper color or worn over another lipstick. The alimentative formula healed my chapped lips and imparts long-lasting hydration on my lips, making this an indispensible part of my winter routine!
Ingredients: Castor Bean Oil*, Olive Oil*, Coconut Oil*, Beeswax, Mixed Tocopherols (Non-GMO Vitamin E), Alkanet Root*, Elder Berries*, Calendula*, Bilberries*, Hibiscus* and Essential Oils of: Peppermint*, Sea Buckthorn CO2*, Vanilla ‘Total’ CO2*, Rosemary Antioxidant CO2*
* Organic

A Boxwalla subscription costs $49.95 every two months, and a combined value of $162 for this box would have saved you over 70% off retail prices! A bi-monthly plan allows you to fully experience and appreciate the products that you receive in each box, and the option to switch to their other themes like film, food or books allows you to explore your varied interests.
This box is sold out, but don't miss out on April's The Wandering Woman's English Spring, featuring British brands Amly Botanicals and Twelve Beauty and valued over $110!
