Travelogue: Inn B'Tween Farm B&B In Upstate New York

Nestled in the hills of the Finger Lakes between Cayuga and Seneca Lake is Inn B'Tween Farm, an 1848 Greek Revival Farmhouse transformed into a country chic bed-and-breakfast on a sprawling estate.

It took us close to six hours to drive upstate, although over a quarter of that was spent in Friday night traffic getting out of Manhattan. The owners, Pamela and her husband, were the loveliest folks, and they enthralled us with stories of life on the farm with the animals. It was amazing to wake up to a breakfast made from farm-fresh eggs and produce, along with their homemade granola and jam, and then be able to take a stroll around the property and say hello to all the wild inhabitants.

We were pleasantly surprised by how much there was to do in the area, including vineyard-hopping, an abundance of nature, farm-to-table restaurants and antique-hunting. It was a little early when we went, but I imagine the landscape would be spectacular when the fall foliage is in full bloom.

Inn B'Tween is located on 8480 Iradell Road in Trumansburg, NY, a 10-minute drive from downtown Ithaca and 20-minutes from Watkins Glen. Rooms range from $155 to $260 a night, and you can call Pamela at 607-387-3779 to inquire about availability and reservation.
