Travelogue: New Year's In London

We arrived in London on New Year's Eve and stayed at the Ace Hotel Shoreditch for a night. Historically a working-class neighborhood, Shoreditch is an inner city district in the East End of London that has become increasingly gentrified by the creative industries in the last two decades.

I picked the neighborhood because it is well-known for its street art and I figured it would be a great place to wander around with my camera even if all the shops were closed on New Year's Day. I ended up loving the area so much that I would return another 3-4 times during my 2-week stay in London.

I managed to take some interesting street photography a lá Eugene Atget since the streets were pretty empty (except for fellow tourists).
