Fall In Love With One Love Organics

If I could only recommend one green beauty brand, it would have to be One Love Organics.
One Love Organics
One Love Organics (OLO) is an award-winning skincare line developed in 2010 by Suzanne Le Roux. While practising law full-time, she began formal studies in aromatherapy, integrative herbology, holistic nutrition and cosmetic chemistry and eventually quit her job to focus on starting her own business.
Their products are produced in micro-batches at their manufacturing facility in St. Simons Island, Georgia, and it is certainly noteworthy that they own one of the only 10 ECOCERT® licensed manufacturing facility for natural and organic cosmetics in the United States.
They are committed to using the finest, most efficient ingredients on the market, and everything they produce is always cruelty-free and free of GMO, parabens, phenoxyethanol, silicon, nanoparticles, PEG and synthetic perfumes and dyes.
OLO was one of the first green beauty brands I tried and absolutely loved. Since I recently used up everything I had ordered from them, I decided to restock on some of my favorites (and purchase some stocking stuffers) during their Black Friday sale.
One Love Organics
The Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Vitamin B Enzyme Cleansing Oil + Makeup Remover ($42.00 for 4 oz) is one of their best-sellers and the first green beauty product I have ever repurchased, which says a lot for someone who loves trying out new things. And don't underestimate the size of the bottle- my first one lasted me well over 6 months.
This product contains a tropical cocktail of oils which when blended together smells like piña colada, and the aroma will immediately relax you and put you on vacation mode. The formula contains a fruit enzyme called papain (derived from papaya) that gently exfoliates and softens your skin, as well as a natural Vitamin B complex that detoxifies and tones.
I use this as the first step in my nightly double-cleansing routine- 1-2 pumps depending on how much make-up I have on my face and I love how effectively the oil removes the impurities and makeup while keeping my skin nicely moisturized. I then follow up with the Easy Does It Foaming Cleanser ($29.00 for 8.8 oz), which has a light apple scent.
Ingredients: organic helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride, di-ppg-2 myreth-10 adipate, polyglycerol-3 beeswax, lecithin (and) cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil (and) papain, carica papaya (papaya) seed oil, tocopherol, fragrance/parfum*
One Love Organics
The Discover Brand New Day Microderma Scrub + Masque ($12.00 for 0.4 oz / $39.00 for 1.7 oz) is another favorite of mine. The product is milled extra-fine and , and while its ingredients may look simple, I can assure you of their potency because I always feel like my face is given a new lease of life whenever I use this as a facial treatment.
If I am in a rush I simply add a little water to activate the ingredients and leave it on my face for 10-15 minutes until it completely dries. If my skin is feeling extra dull and dehydrated (especially in colder seasons), I add raw organic honey instead of water and have it on for up to 45 minutes. When I wash the masque off my face, I am left with brighter, baby-soft skin that glows from within.
Ingredients: zea mays (corn) starch, pisum sativum (pea) flour, sodium cocoyl glutamate, kaolin, ananas comosus (pineapple) fruit extract, fragrance/parfum*
*OLO does not use synthetic fragrances in their products and they use a propriety blend of natural ingredients free of all the nasties.
Other products that I have tested from their line include the Health Locks Dry Shampoo Powder ($12.00 for 0.6 oz / $29.00 for 1.8 oz) and Vitamin C Brightening Facial Serum ($75.00 for 1 oz).
